Hi All, My Puma has just developed it's oil leak (or oil gush) from what I think is the vacuum pump seal. Top right hand (when looking straight on at the vehicle). I'm going to call Southern Landrover today, but before I do wanted make sure that it is the vac pump seal.
Does anyone have any photo's of theirs? for me to compare.
Also how long does it usually take for the dealers to rectify this?
Cheers

Well - it's right hand side - but more upper middle - it has Wabco written on top of it.

What year is your Puma? I do hope it's an early one, otherwise we have some evidence that the "new" pumps are crap too.

Thanks, she's a Sept 08... first time it's gone, but after reading the threads have been very mindful of it going.

When mine went it was fixed in less than a day. It was like they were expecting me, they had all necessary parts.
I only live 20 odd km from the dealer, okay to drive it in, otherwise they would have organised a flat bed to transport.

Don't worry - there was an updated update since then - so you'll be fine. You can drive the car too (as kenleyfred says) - just top up your oil and keep an eye on it. :)

The vacuum pump on the son's Puma decided to throw oil everywhere while at MR for a service.Picked it's time well:)
It is an 09 with 16k on the clock.Flat tray to Austral.A bolt that holds the vacuum pump on has now snapped,so now they are waiting for a bolt. The new pump is apparently a new 2010 one, what ever that means.
Hopefully they will also sort out the exhaust that has been rubbing on the tailshaft, another common Puma problem:(

I will eventually trust this "Land Rover" - maybe in 2030.
