Hi all I have done a bit of a search and haven't come up with much-
Who is running Nexen M/T i think they are called Roadian M/T .
Im thinkng of fitting Maxxis Bighorns -but the supplier says he can supply Nexens as well not sure about prices yet .I see on here the Bighorns have a great reputation -i am basically looking for the best price as they are being fitted to my 110 tray and it spends most of its time on the farm ,fishing ,spotlighting etc.
coments please.

I ran Nexen MT's for about 6 months no issues at all and all-round a good tyre. My RRC is not a daily drive and cant rememeber how it went on road too much. Excellent in sand pretty average in mud but better then BFG's IMO.
If there's not much in the price go the maxxis, if Nexen are heaps cheaper go the Nexen.
I only changed tyres to go to a extreme trekker look alike, fantastic in mud, sand, 8/10 for rocks, really, really suck on road

Hi
Thanks it will be only price if i go to Nexens have read a lot of good things about Maxxis inc the price .They're all pretty good i guess BFG ,Firestones,Mikey Thomo's ,coopers etc but in my case they have a good chance of getting staked .I dont encounter a lot of mud -but when i do thats when you want a bit of traction H/T A/T dont cut it.
Cheers

I am running the Nexen MTs on the 130 and nexen A/ts on the disco. So far its value all round, the A/Ts are on the road evry day and are wearing well. The MTs do howl on the black top, but they do work well on rock/mud/gravel, the ten ply sidewalls are alittle harsh when the utes empty but the ride evens out when im loaded up.

Been running Nexen ATs 31x10.5x15s on my 1990 4 Runner for the past three years Found them to be pretty hard wearing {mind you i don't do big Ks every year and the speed limit here is a big 50/kmh] But i will differently buy them again:)

Just a update on the nexen MTs 235/85r/16s I have on the 130. Just done 8521 kms, 4000 of those not on the tar, fully loaded at 3542 kgs and baged out to 25 psi rear,20 psi front to assist the shockies. No damage or puntures, however after a 14 hr day returning on the tar the road noise was anough to convince me to get some less chunky 10 plyes for the long drives.

dunno bout the m/t's but had the nexen a/t's on the nissan, reasonably happy on road, off road ok until muddy(my driveway in the wet!!!) couldnt handle the water hole test down front paddock, had to get the nissan dragged out, have since gone to maxxis big horn's and couldnt be happier, handled extremely well at rover pk at xmas, quite surprised at road handling, only drawback is some road noise, but combine them with the snorkel howl ,and you learn to turn up the stereo ;)
