"the plough" stuck on my d3 - can't get to spare wheel! :(

Hiya folks - the key assembly thing for my LR tow bar has fallen apart and I've ordered the mitchell bros hitch as I don't like the LR one anyways..

Problem is I can't get the LR tow hitch off now... i just have a hole where the key etc used to go and the hitch assembly seems to go up inside the back of the car with no obvious way to pull it out?

Prob is too I can't get the spare wheel off with that stuck there if I need to...

Are there any tricks or instructions on how to get this off available?

If the thing is the be ditched then you could probably drill the lock mechanisim out using a big drill bit. Makes a mess of the lock but it means that it can be undone.

Mine was the same when I got it home. A few good whacks with the tent peg hammer loosened it up to the point where it dropped out onto my foot...

I kind of knew it would have the last laugh...

mine was the same. A bit of 'encouragement' with a hammer and it was sorted
