I have always wanted an XC Falcon ute, but when an ebay search revealed the following I had to have a little cry. What a waste of a good car....

1977 XC Ford Falcon 4X4 - eBay Post-1970, Collector Cars, Cars, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 14-Jun-10 18:24:10 AEST) (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170497320582&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:AU:1123)

and WTF is with the forward hinged bonnet arrangement ? I mean,. why !

One wonders why they bothered. Both donor vehicles are cheap as chips and of virtually no technical merit. Another example of a hobby costing far, far, more than the value of the end result.

Have you priced XC utes lately ?

Technical merit. No but the XC's are a nice looking thing I reckon.

(I guess it depends on your definition of cheap though).
But yeah you do wonder why they bothered !

Here's a few more 4x4 conversions. Mustangs, Firebirds, Jaguar and even Rolls Royce......

Hmmm, I've just been given and XF ute. What Landrover Running gear could I put under it?
