The Australian 4WD Destinations is now open, this is the template to be used in this section, this section is not to be used for trip reports but more for information on the area and how to get there with GPS or way points if possible.

I have put a post in the forest section to give you an idea of how it should be done, we have made it as easy as possible, any problem just let me or VladTepes know.

So when posting copy and paste this template and then off you go.

I will put this in each section so it can be copied.

Also there is a max number of 2 photos allowed

Can you please include the STATE in the title, (ie) NSW; Stockton Beach.

Baz,
the LRACT has beaten you to the post. they have had out their "Campground corner" cd rom for about 6 years now. it has loads of camp and 4wd destinations, including facilities, fees, track condition, access, gps location and directions.
it may sound like an ad, but i'm just trying to save you some work. i think they sell it for around $20. the version i have is fairly old now. i tried to get our members to contribute to it, as requested by the LRACT but they were mostly under the delusion that their secret little spots were only known to them and no one else in Australia and like true team players, they didn't want anyone to know about them.

So they sold it for $20 well I guess they were on the right track if they were wanting to keep it a secret:D.

I would not pay for a CD like that I think what baz is doing here is great and I can't wait for it to get going...assuming kerry is going to be adding some of her knowledge and secret spots:p

lou, you should be in journalism, if you take a sentence out of context it will pretty well say what you want.
now, if you go back and read it, you will see that it was our members that wanted to keep their little spots secret, not the LRCACT.
the LRCACT wanted to produce a guide to aid all 4wders in finding different spots to go camping by producing this disc.

yeah but it's a lot of work, especially when it's already been done and is cheap as chips to buy.
i'm not saying it's a bad idea, but there are easier ways to get that sort of info.
have a look for yourself;-

Alright Matt:o...calm down!!

It appears I have mis-read it, but even so I was only saying it in a light hearted way....

and making a point of congratulating Baz for taking something like this on rather then telling him he is to late.

Tank it should have come up right away it should be no different from posting in the main forum.

Are you def sure you hit the submit button?

I hit the right button, but a message appeared saying, in effect, that the post would have to be reviewed by a Moderator before it would appear in the Forum, I have sent a PM to Redback asking the above question but no reply.
The only way I know to post pics into a post is to submit the post and then add the pics via the "Edit" button, it has been nearly 24 hours since I posted, Regards Frank. P.S . Has anyone else tried posting?
