Hi All

Any suggestions to service my 08 Puma in Melbourne or Gippsland. I had the first service at ULR Malvern , cost me $500 , for an oil change and new bushing. I asked if they could fit my Bearmach wheel carrier and they said they had not done one before and it looked complicated ( lucky my brother in law who had also never done it - did it in 1 hour ! ).

The choices seem to be Ritter and MLR at this point. Any others that you know or can reccomend?
Thanks

Firstly you got stung. I paid about $250 for my first service at ULR.

As a member of the LROCV you get discounts at both ULR & MLR as they are part of the same company.
The discount is 20% off labour and parts at trade price.
I always have to remind them though that I am a member and to apply the discount.

MLR seem more approachable to do things that are beyond the normal servicing routine.

Ritter is not a dealer but can service your car so that the warranty is not void. They are very capable at fitting any aftermarket things you want added.

I possibly did get stung.

Anyway some good advice , I have used Ritter on my Rangie before and you are right they were good at most things particulary with the non computer related plug in/ reset and go type stuff. Ill try them. Thanks

I had the first service at ULR Malvern , cost me $500 , for an oil change and new bushing. Why were you charged for a 'bushing' at the first service?

They charged you?

That's what warranty is for.
