I have had the suspension mounts and the extended brake lines for a few months.Have been waiting for my custom springs to be made for the last couple of months.I just checked the TJM catalogue, and they do a shock, that if it is measured in the same place that OME measure theirs from, should fit the bill nicely. Not sure how these shocks work in a Defender though, and I am a bit dubious with TJM closing a lot of their stores ?

How much lift will that give you?

That's a nice bit of kit. Who supplies it?

The lift is only 2" which is all I believe that a Defender needs. After articulation and a suspension that works, and not height.
The rear mounts and extended towers and cranked rear arms and all the associated bits are from Gwyn Lewis in the UK.The springs are custom made by Dobinson. The extended brake lines and spacers for the expansion tank also come from Gwyn Lewis.

Rang TJM today. No wonder that they are having to shut down stores,if their staff product knowledge is anything to go by.Contacted all the local dealers and asked if they knew where the shock lengths were measured from. Not one had any idea, was refered to someone in Head Office in QLD.And what do I get there, electronic mailbox!!!!!!!! Just lost any chance of my business. At least when I rang the OME dealers, they knew about their product.Whether it is any good or not,is debatable .

ARB are no better. A (senior) guy at my local ARB didn't know there were o-rings in ARB lockers, and didn't know that ARB made diff covers.

Now that is funny !!! And part of the reason I won't buy an ARB locker. The ARB knowledge quest mustn't extend over to the west yet lol

For what it's worth, I have found cornering and handling much better with my stock height on the Puma over my 2" lifted TD5. All I have done is replace the front springs with 130s, and fitted Bilstein shocks. Have gained an extra few centimetres under the diffs where it counts more by fitting 33" tyres.

I have no doubt, that mine will handle better with the standard height springs in it at the moment. But as On road handling is a secondary consideration with this vehicle, and how everything works Offroad is the primary consideration.I am prepared for the sacrifice.
