Trial fit new window frame

Took the Rangie in for a trial fitting of the new aluminium window frame and now it is off to be powder coated and should be ready for final fitment next week.

Be careful that the rear window is smaller than the frame, and does not touch the edge of the glass onto the frame particularly opposite each other. Also be sparing with the sealant.
Friend and club member bought a new frame a couple of years ago and first hot/cold day, the first after fitting, the rear window shattered.

the guys doing the work have carefully removed all the wiring, original rubber seals and window glass from the rusty frame and have cleaned them up and will re fit them back into the the new frame.

They do the windows for the high speed ferries so l am confident they understand about sealant in window frames
