Guys please bear with me with my descriptions of parts, ill try my best.

I recently bought a s/hand Airtec snorkel off evilBay, nothing wrong other than I didnt realise there were different inner pipes for ABS and non ABS.

Stupidly I persevered (drilled the 4 holes in the guard) in an attempt to 'make it work', and not have to tell the missus I got the wrong thing.

Managed to mount the original inner collector (the part immediately behind the grill in the guard), then the snorkel body itself. Four studs / nuts, 2 of which are ALMOST impossible to get too without removing the inner guard, 1 of which bolts through the afore mentioned plastic collector.

Feeling chuffed I then tried to refit the next piece of plastic (the funnel like piece that goes from the collector box to the first rubber hose) but the seal is more than unsatisfactory? It doesn't seem big enough to go over the collector box, but when you connect it inside there are visible gaps?

I have contacted TJM but the best the can come up with is "the correct snorkel kit retails $418!"

Does anyone remember if the collector box or the funnel should be outermost at the connection, or does anyone have a diagram or instructions for fitting an abs snorkel by Airtec?

Thanks heaps in advance

Seems that the air box in the guard in the outer at that joint.

Not a great design, I would imagine a lot of sealing issues in standard cars.
I dont suppose it would really matter unless fording long distances at 600mm+. The joint is a good 200mm lower than the guard intake.

D90,
Thanks very much. Im south of Sydney (Bowral) but would be more than happy to pay for the part and its transport. TJM will only sell the whole kit, being ive got 95% fitted it would be great if I could grab the 1 bit missing to make it work.

Thanks again
