My tyres will soon be up for replacement , I'm just wondering if anybody is using Maxis Buckshot Mudders or Dunlop M/T Maxx Traction tyres ??

If so what are your thoughts on them, good in the wet, mud, noisy / quiet ??

I've been quoted $284 and $290 is this about average ?? Thanks ;)

I recently bought two General AT2 tyres 265/75/16 for $250-00 each, they have a similar pattern to the BF Goodrich all terrains, which are currently on the Defender too. The Generals seem to be a good tyre and not noiser than the Goodrich's. The grip appears to be slightly better than the Goodrich and they were made in Mexico, as I was told not to buy an asian made tyre as the rubber apparently isn't as good, and the life of the tyres not as good.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Mark

Can't comment on the listed tyres, but can give abig thumbs up to the new Kevlar Goodyear Wrangler MTR - bloody brilliant tyre.

Hi, I fitted a set of 255/85 r16 maxxis bighorns ,at $290 each,to my defender in jan. They where a bit louder on the road than the old bfg all-terrains(235/85) but much better off the road and a 33 in that fitted with no problems.
