Hello everybody,

The car has just returned from repairs and the radi is asking for a code.

I was all ready for this and had the code handy. The trouble is, it is a four digit code that contains a zero, the are not any zeros on the punch buttons.

Any ideas please?

Harris.

Radios that have a 0 or 7, 8, 9 in the code normally mean that you need to use other buttons to enter the code.
Try the up/down station buttons & see if the display changes. Usually, once the correct number is displayed, you then press another button to get the next number up.
What model of Land Rover do you have?

Checked the Puma manual and it says that the first 4 preset buttons are used.

Example:
6789
press button 1 - 6 times
button 2 - 7 times etc.
After the 4th number press button 5 to enter the code.
Nothing about a zero - and I also have a zero in my code

Have you tried pressing the button 10 times for the zero?

or maybe not press that button at all, so for example..

6709
press button 1 - 6 times
button 2 - 7 times
button 3 don;t touch it
button 4 - 9 times.

Worth a try.

Assuming its a Puma of course. Older ones are different.

What do you have ?

As said just continually push the button until it reads "0"

Eg: Radio code is 1790
Preset button no.1 push until it reads number 1
Preset button no.2 push until it reads number 7
Preset button no.3 push until it reads number 9
Preset button no.4 push until it reads number 0

To get it to work then push preset number 5

&

Music.....

Cheers.
