Hi all,
I am running a factory steel bar on my 06 Defender.
I need to replace the parkers/indictors in the bar.

The bar is a copy of the ARB steel bar; they however, do not have any replacment parts?

Any ideas where l can get two??
They are the 50/50 parkes/indicators. All the ARB stuff is 1/3-2/3.

Mike

Hi Mike,

There was some discussion here a while ago:

http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130-defender-county/68467-defender-xtreme-bullbar-lights-1.html

I think that the outcome was to use the ARB lights which by the way on mine are indicators only.

Saw an ad in the Quokka this week and it showed Brytec Led units as replacement for Bullbar lights. Not sure if they would fit but would be ok, Can either get straight indicator or indicator/running.
Has anyone tried them?

I think someone on this forum sugested you can replace the orange lights in the ARB bar with clears from a series 1 VW Golf. Could be the whole light would fit but where to get them cheap, who knows, maybe ebay.

If anyone knows where to get the VW lenses could they yell out?
I need to resolve this issue as l use this vehicle for my work and it must be roadworthy - to the letter!

Thanks in advance.
Alter l guess l can fit the ARB supplied set as per an earlier post??

My young bloke, who is in the parts game big time, recons ebay is the way to go. Worth a try.

Could you remove the lights altogether & blank the holes off?
Not all bullbars have lights fitted.

I've just checked with LR as these lights had been discontinued. Surprise, surprise, they now have them back in stock again.

HYM1176 is what you need. There's 194 of them sitting in their warehouse.

Oh fantastic!

Can ANY dealer supply these?
Wonder what they will be worth!

I have been told the ARB bars interfere with visibility of te indicators if you are in front of the vehicle, to an extent that requires auxilliary indicators (the ones in the bar) to be fitted.

Any LR dealer can get them in for you. Retail is around the $60 mark (that's the light assy as the lens isn't available separately).

Hi All,
Have order some at Massaro's in Morwell. Shipped over night. They are $62.99 each. Heaps in stock l am told! (Thanks Scouse!)

Having been to ARB - the replacment units for their bars are $22.00.

How do LR justify three times the price for thier ****ty lights that break all the time! And they wonder why the only work they do on my Rovers have been warranty based!? Seriously.
