Colour me dumb, but I can't get Flash updated ATM.
Have the latest updates on Firefox and it tells me I need to update Flash due to a security/vulnerability issue.
Fine.
But when I go to Adobe and try and download the new version all I get is I need a new plugin, then Firefox can't find a suitable one yet the one it is trying to download I already have installed in Firefox ??
Anyway, I click on the Firefox download instructions that Adobe have provided and it shows a dialogue box that doesn't appear in my system at all
I have No-Script set to allow scripts from Adobe, so I'm stumped ATM.
Oh, and I'm running XP Home.

I eventually got sick of it and told it I didn't want to update. Hasn't caused any problems yet. Maybe it did it itself while I wasn't looking.;)

No 64bit flash unless you run linux.
But I don't think that's Rick's problem.:p

yeah, I hate Flash, but so many sites run it...
Yet I have it mostly blocked with No-Script, so go figure

For those that wish to update to the latest Flash 10.1 (I accidentally typed 'false', Freudian slip ?) go here
Adobe Flash Player 10.1 for Other Browsers - Browsers & Browser Companions - Downloads - PC Authority (http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Download/151732,adobe-flash-player-101-for-other-browsers.aspx)
It worked properly, unlike Adobe's site

Since version 10 (I think) Adobe wants you to install its download manager. I have noticed that Firefox does a good job of stopping the popup for this that you can cancel and then click the link to do the direct download. Here is the link from Adobe for the "Other Browsers"
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
and for Internet Exploder:
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
