I am about to embark on the full restoration of my 88" Series IIA.

I am well aware of the difference of master cylinders and that the 109" has two slave cylinders per side up front.

My question is: Has anyone fitted 109" system to their 88" to improve the braking? I.e. fitted 109" backing plates, twin slave cylinders and the 109" master cylinder? Or am I just wasting my time.
As this would be a safety improvement, I am keen to hear if anyone has done it to their short wheel based Landy prior to doing this step as it carries a cost & I don't want to throw myself over the front windscreen at the first set of lights.
