i'd still say the Deal extreme ones.. although they do need a leetle work to get them working with aussie maps!

They have a nice 6" one at the moment for a mere 115usd... i think also going from your other post it doesnt have AV in... but not 100%

depends on how technical you are / arent

Steve

Thanks Steve, no technical at all, I need something with up to date street maps and with blue tooth hands free for my mobile would be great as well.

Deal Extreme also do a wireless camera that some people are using successfully DealExtreme: $45.82 Car 2.4GHz Wireless Rear View Parking NTSC Night Vision Camera and Receiver Set (DC 12V) (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15747)

Best option is to wire it into your reverse signal, as the moment it powers on it overrides the GPS.

I got the 7" GPS/Camera and it is very impressive.
I just wonder if Ozi Explorer can read the IGO8 maps which come with the unit in a SD card and a CD?

I bought that GPS off eBay the other day for $60 plus $36 postage no reversing camera bought as l don't have a need for one, it is a great GPS and loads of features quite clear voice for map reading while driving and swaps over to different display for night time driving. ahs 32 satellite cappability doesn't take long to work out routes, or suggest alternative route when you go off route.

Very happy buyer would recommend it qas cheap GPS replacement

Bugger  the Oz maps (IGO8) that come with the unit are 2009 and not 2010 as advertised.
The camera does not work :(
I sent 3 emails and so far they ignored my request and asking for give them 5 Star
I hope that all will be resolved soon, I need the camera :(

Ranga,

RE: "Best option is to wire it into your reverse signal, as the moment it powers on it overrides the GPS. "

I did mine slightly differently....I used a 3 pole-2 way switch....the +ve leadfrom camera I ran back to centre pole, LHS pole to accessories or battery, RHS to reverse wire.....switch is normally on RHS so when I put in reverse it automatically comes on, but if I want to have a look at how camper is travelling or anything out the rear when in transit I flick switch to LHS.....not much more mucking around for a more useful set-up IMHO.

Cheers Stace

I agree the switch is very useful, but it is considerably more mucking around if you are using the wireless camera.
