Leak in rear of Puma

Anyone here got some quick and easy ideas on how to work out a leak in the rear of my Puma ? Ive checked door and even bent it back in towards the door frame so it seals better and quite sure water is not coming in there. ( did this after spending 440 on useless Bearmach carrier whcih ive taken off now , as I thought the weight of the wheel was pulling door out)

Do I need to pull inside fascia's off an hose it down to see the leak ? or is there a better trickier way to work it out? Any suggestions welcome

Mostly likely it will be the hip panel join. ie the seal between upper and lower body panels is not doing it job. Some suitably coloured sealant will fix the problem.
I did it on my car and there was no way I would let the dealer pull the body apart to replace the seal.

And the entire point of a wheel carrier is to take the weight off the door - so you can put it back! Most Defenders leak.

I guess you could do what I do and accept that the inside of you Defender ends up as wet and dirty as the outside and not worry about it :D

That wheel carrier just does not want to work properly. Yes poor installation, doesnt seem to sit right and I ahve to pull tyer out first then ipen door. The installer ( Brother in law ) slapped dashed it and hec ethe result. Need to re drill anchor points I think . Not happy about it.

I did my wheel carrier last week, not easy. Had to cut and bend wheel mount bolts to align with wheel. After market rims didn't help either. It took me all day to get it right, but am happy with results. No leak from mine since I fitted it and it made rear door adjustment more precise and the door seems to close nicer.
