Its old news really.

They should have used the 3.0TD V6 that would have been a killer package then

It would be interesting to find out the price point for the diesel Territory and compare that to the petrol six and the turbo petrol six.

The Turbo 6 has been dropped from the Territory range due to poor sales.

I would expect the diesel version to fall into the old turbo petrol price point.

What Ford should look at is a premium version with the 3.0L TDV6.

With 380Nm on tap @ 3250rpm, you don't have to wring the engine's guts out to make the most of it. While there often feels like more of a gap between idle and about 1300rpm than in the Falcon, this could be put down to the vehicle's 1995 - 2095kg kerb weight, for the RWD TX and AWD Ghia models respectively.

With 2095Kg kerb weight ws D4 at up to 2800 or Kerb Weight kg2583
according to a UK site.

500KG will make quite a difference to performance .

Just leaving themselves room for upgrades in future years.

It won't matter what engine they use while it still has Falcon suspension underneath.
