Hi Guys

Just about to start a centre roof console and wondered if anyone knew of a source of the fabric / vinyl they use on the defender headlining? its very pliable and stretchy and i would think would work quite nicely.

Be interested to hear if you knwo where to get it!

I'm not sure where you can source the material that you are looking for, other than from an auto trimmers, but as an alternative, I covered mine with marine carpet from Bunnings. It looks the part, and is far more resilient compared to normal trim. It's also easy to clean - just give it a rub of the vacuum cleaner :D

Thanks Mike, i was trying to steer around carpeting the roof! it will be one of my options tho. I'd be hoping being all the way up there it wouldnt be getting too dirty! Definitly use it for the drawer system that will be occuring next...

Thanks

Just go to an auto trimmer.

It's not expensive.

Bugger - I just threw out my old lining a couple of weeks ago! I just replaced my whole lining with yoga mat covered with carpet from an auto trimmer. Come up really nice and I reckon it cuts noise and heat down a bit. I'll post photos when I return from holidays.

It's actually surprising how dirty it does get up there - shocked me anyway when I pulled my console down last month.

In a Defender EVERYTHING gets dust on it.
