View Full Version : Mythbusters shooting up a RRC

For the next few days, you can watch the Mythbusters (ep 148) crew bulletproof what appears to be a 90's RRC. Not only do they mistreat the vehicle by shooting it, they add insult to injury by filling it with blow up dolls.

put a tear in my eyes I and many of us could of used bits off that car.
they could of used a old crappy one (or a P38a) not a nice tidy unit like the black beauty on the show.
wonder if the upper tailgate is still good!

did you see how good the leather seats were, so soft and new looking.
how rude of them to destroy a nice kept rangie :( Woe to the people that sold it to the Mythbusters lol

It could have been a brand new LC200 and I wouldnt have hesitated

I would happily shoot a Toyota ! But the poor old Rangie.

What we would consider VGC cars are dime a dozen in USA - so thats what happens !

Mind you early in the first series when they did the JATO one, they couldn't quite bring themsleves to destroy a VERY clean T-Bird.

Something tells me they would've got more than '15 miles per hour' out of it...if they'd chucked her into low-range!! Americans. :rolleyes:

Last week on the "spy" episode they banged up a couple of Mazda MX-5's ( well looked like ) plus some other sports coupe ( couldn't make out the brand ) with a V8 in it. This was testing myths about losing a car chasing you.

few years back, they brought a car and left a coupla dead pigs in it for a while to check some myth about cleaning a car after dead bodies have been removed.

I think the person that sold them the car, got pretty crancky with them and it made it to their show,

some thing like that
