While I had the camera out this evening, I took the attached photo.
Anyone khow what the purpose is of the small grille on the D4 dash, located just to the left of the steering column?

Pretty sure it's where the cabin temperature sensor lives.

Yup A/C sensor is at the end of a tube behind the grill.

So, I assume that this sensor caters for the driver side temp adjustment. That is you set the driver's side A/C temp for 22 degC & this sensor manages the system to that set temp.

So where does the paassenger side set temp get monitored from?

I think the one behind the grill is general air temp.
Air temp for each side would be controlled by a sensor in the return air on each side? Anyone know better?

HI
The temp for the rhs and lhs can only be around 3/4 deg differance so if the driver has his temp set to 22 deg and the pasenger say 20 deg it will just take 2 deg off the monitered temp of the drivers side.
Well thats how I think it would work
