TD5 Defender - Engine Jolting HELP!

Hi All
I am experienceing the following with my TD5 Defender atm:

Occasionally (not every drive) the vehcile will JOLT fairly noticeably and the AMBER Engine light will come on, then go off.
There is no issue with loss of power.
There is no overheating.
No chip.
3" exhuast.
Otherswise standard TD5.
Done 104,400kms.

It is not a daily driver. So does sit for the week and used on weekends.
This is occuring on road - at speeds of 60km/h and lower. Does not happen continually - just once, then all good.

Any ideas?
(Yes. I realise getting Rover to check the computer is a must - but just wanted some idea before hitting up to my dealer....who know very little about the Defender it seems)

Any chance the CDL is locked,even if the dashlight is out????
Could be transmission wind up.
That would give a fair jolt when it releases itself.

This is possibly asociated with the Crank Position Sensor. It may be affected by diesel from a leaking fuel reg. Water ingress to the sensor, or Oil in the loom to the ECU.

Just to add another thing to check.

Captain_Rightfoot was having trouble with what may be a similar to issue you.

Replacing the relay which supplies power to the ECU seems to have fixed his problem so far.
