Hi Guys
Any chance somebody with a Milford cargo barrier in their Defender can post pics of the mounts.
Ours was "custom" mounted to a drawer system.Removed the drawers and re-fitted the rear seats today.I have the 4 knobs that screw into the roof rail, seem to need another strap to connect to the roof and floor holes.
Anybody know if its possible to buy the fitting kit seperately or will I need to fabricate my own???
Thanks
Andrew

Very Good.
Exactly what I was after.
The lower mounts, yours has 2 straps that appear to be different lengths.
Is that for shifting the barrier to the rear position???
Looks like I need to contact Milford for the correct mounts, unless they are stupidly priced, them I will make my own.
Thanks
Andrew

Extra straps are for mounting the barrier forward.

Off (an old) memory the straps are designed to deflect slightly in an accident to absorb the load hitting it. Might change the capability of the barrier if you make solid mounts? ;)

Yes,you are correct.
The round pressings are there to give in an impact situation.
Thanks

Hi Andy,

it'll pay to shop around for the mounting bracket parts, saw a cargo barrier advertised a few months back sans mounting kit, once the kit was taken into account worked out being only a hundred cheaper than buying brand new & getting it fitted. let me know if you get real stuck & i'll check with the neighbour (ARB manager) & try get some contact details for ya from a bloke who does mobile fitting, just not your end of town (or mine - apparently secret harbour is too far from perth).

Take a look in the local wreckers yard - the local u-pullit here had umpteen tradies vans still with cargo barriers in place, including the brackets that you describe.

yeah Andrew, Milford are rip-off merchants :wasntme:
like previously said, with the price they want for fit kits it is cheaper to buy the barriers brand new. funny that
