Hi All, had a Landrover training day today near Werribee Melbourne set on 80 acres.
Chris and the boys from Melbourne City Landrover were great. Although I have been 4Wdriving many times, the fact that you had experienced Landrover people there showing you what settings to use in certain situations etc, made it so much better.
If you want to get the most out of your Landrover, I highly recommend this day. The capabilities of these vehicles are amazing.
Cheers, Craig

Hi oldsalt, you will have a ball. Morning & afternoon tea is taken care of as well as lunch. We took camp chairs but didn't need them. Not much to take except drinks. Advisable to wear work boots or similar and maybe a spare change of jocks!
Have a great day. Regards, Craig

We did a similar training day down at Mittagong NSW. It was put on by the dealer with the training company also having LandRover Exprience training. I've been 4x4ing for years but I learnt a hell of a lot about the car and how to use it in one day. Very good people with all the food you could want to eat.

Do it if you can, there are a lot of features in these cars and not everything is in the owners manual.

I agree Peter, I can now head bush with confidence knowing that I will be able to get out of almost any situation. Most of all, I will know that I am getting the most out of my Disco.

There is another LR Training Day scheduled for 14 Aug near Mittagong and I suspect that it is being run by the same training mob. I'm pleased RoverLander had a good experience and now I'm really looking forward to it.

Cheers

Hi again, one thing I forgot to mention about the training day. My Disco & a RRS were the only ones in our group have the optional e-diff. It was quite noticeable how much easier our vehicles did it compared to others.
I highly recommend the e-diff option to anyone about to order theirs.

Bruce Lynton Land Rover on the Gold Coast has done these trips in the past, I don't see why they still wouldn't.

Craig,
It was one of the smallest classes we have had in a long time.
There were numerous last minute cancellations & a few who just plain forgot.
Hence the one on one class for you guys.

The E-diff makes a huge difference, especially on those long climbs like the fence line on the southern section.

Glad you enjoyed it.:p

Hi George, Yes that is the same mob as I nearly went on the 14 Aug but I changed to an earlier date. I suggest you ask lots of questions as John and Julie will have all the answers. Let me know how you enjoy the day.

Hi ausandy, just a hint........take your tow hitch off the night before. They make you take it off when you get there.
Have a great day. Take heaps of photos / video.
