I have an AE-1 program and a few FD lenses in very good condition. Apart from that we have an IXUS which does most of our photography these days...

Due to the lack of decent film and the hassles with developing, it is time to upgrade to a DSLR (body at least).

I would like to keep using my FD lenses if possible, as they aren't worth much, but still are in good condition.

Can anyone recommend an FD-EOS adapter? It seems the only decent ones have an integral lens.

e.g.: Converter Adapter for Canon FD Lens to EOS EF DSLR Body - eBay, Lenses, Photographic Accessories, Cameras. (end time 17-Aug-10 16:14:44 AEST) (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Converter-Adapter-Canon-FD-Lens-EOS-EF-DSLR-Body-/220592141602?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Cameras_Photographic_Accessories&hash=item335c50f522)

Alternately, is it easier to adapt an FD lens to an alternate body (I prefer Canon and Nikon, but would consider others).

Keep us informed about this Ben. Like you I have several quality FD lenses from an earlier era that I would like to occasionally attach to my 500D body.

Anyone tried this yet?
I've several good Canon FD lenses and am considering an EOS camera to replace my A1s.
