Aftrenoon,
Setting about to drop the fuel tank to remove and clean inline filters in fuel pump. (Recently became a bit noisier than normal, cycling longer).
Any quick tips regarding this one.
Any do's or do not's.
Thanks,
Tod.

Pretty straightforward job I've just swapped over a normal for long range tank in a County which would be similar.
Just make sure the fuel sender wires are either connected or accessable when re installing- not like I forgot or anything

if its a TD5 be bloody careful with everything and mark out the hole in the floor and drill/cut that out first.

Lucky you can read minds Dave.
Yeah a TD5.
That was my intention after removing the tank to cut out and fit an inspection/access plate.
I guess I'll be doing that in reverse.
Thankyou.

slide a piece of flat ply ( I use 8mm) from the left hand chassis rail over the top of the tank and the pump. when you drill in the corner holes for making the square Stop when you hit wood.
if you hit plastic you have overshot, if the drill bit comes back soaked in dieso...........

if its anything like the 300tdi tank you need to have fingers like ET. I found it a simple but fiddly process :)

Its a Brown Davis, it was fitted to the Isuzu I am refurbishing, but I wanted it for my "keeper" 110.
I researched it here- some are fine, some have given trouble.
