Hi guys just wanted to share my build.
She started as a 1971 S2A station wagon with original 6 cylinder 2.6 lit engine. I got her with no engine and already on a range rover classic LT95 and coils and diffs and entire suspension welded to the series chassis. extended the wheel base to 93inches.http://www.facebook.com/#%21/photo.php?pid=4913757&id=714399015&ref=fbx_albumhttp://www.facebook.com/#%21/photo.php?pid=4913764&id=714399015&ref=fbx_albumhttp://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=192587&id=714399015#%21/photo.php?pid=4913765&id=714399015&ref=fbx_album

I'm a little confused.

A SIIA 6cyl was originally 109", 6cyl were never fitted into 88". So has the chassis been shortened or lengthened.

it was in the original registration in 1971 or 1972 that i saw a 6 cylinder gas engine description, 2,600cc . I however got it less the series drivetrain and it had its present LT95 and range rover classic diffs together with the suspension.

im the 3rd owner from the original importer here in the Philippines.

Sounds like it's either a Land Rover 90 or replica.

Good work.
Neat looking Landy!!!!
I once had a Mitsi Tryton with the 4d56 motor. They are renown for being hand grenades in australia, may last longer under your conditions.
The last motor of 3 that went into the Triton, and by far the most powerful was the intercooled 1992 Pajero version.Intercooler is top mounted with a draw thru fan if charge temps are high.In the Landrover you could front mount a larger intercooler and take advantage of what is quite a powerfull engine.
Looking forward to more pics and the finished job.
ENJOY!!!
Andrew

thanks andy for the encouragement. i do hope the hyundai d4bf or turbo 4d56 (they are identical) will be good enough. i think i can in the future put a top or a front mounted IC.
we will be mounting the radiator that i just got today this week.

opps its LHD here in the Philippines. some may have gotten confused with the pics. :D
