Now here's a turn up for an on-line forum.

While I know there are people that will have a horror story from the same dealer, I thought I'd share what for me was excellent service from my local dealer in Canberra - Lennock Land Rover.

In other posts you'll see that I had a couple of issues. The first was to get a gearbox fault checked, and fix some rattles (minor). The fault required a part to be ordered, which they promptly did, but an accident in the workshop meant the rattle was not fixed that day - with profuse apologies from them and the offer to leave the car for the next day and they'd give me a new demo FR2 till they fixed it. Good service.

Next visit, to replace gear linkage, the new part was faulty with it being stiff to use and not always locking into gear. As they couldn't put the old part in (bloody computers) again, they gave me a demo FR2 again for use as long as needed. When LR said they were waiting for more parts from the UK, the dealer took an undelivered D4 and put the part out of that into my car, working late to complete the work.

So, from my perspective at the moment, it's a 'well done' to Lennock's for their service. They are trying to lift the game and re-establish the LR brand in the ACT.

Again I will qualify this as MY experience. We all tend to tell the bad stories so I thought I share this good one. Here's hoping the level of service continues.

Love my TATA truck!
