Must have a look at how you did this, been thinking of the same thing about the bullet, I'm sick of belting the arse end off-road (a 4 door one would look weird but I like to be different).

Something to ponder :D

4 door ones look choice

like this one but forget the rear quater window - just rivet in an aluminium panel

happy to fill you in on the whole process next time i see ya - much easier than i though it was going to be

Was having a think about it, the only issue with my Rangie is that the body is welded together not bolted like the earlier ones (easy enough to source a earlier rear innner frame without rust). This is why older Rangies are better to mod than they're later model counterparts.

The chequer plate window sounds like my sort of thing, dunga spec all the way :twisted::twisted:

Trav,

having the rear section that the door and window mount to unbolt made it perfect - if that bit is welded im sure you could still cut it and then drill it and bolt back together

if the roof still un-screws on later models that would be perfect too

i did the whole job in probably 4 to 5 solid days with the only welding on the chassis - got to love tek screws and pop rivets

Roof unscrews on all Rangie classics. The other thing is the fuel tank, you will need to mod that unless you just bolt the standard one down in the rear (not idea).

Not a terribly hard job but something I would not feel confident in doing myself. I would Prefer to have the turret welded myself but pop rivets are cheap.

i think as long as the roof unscrews its still easy to do

all depends on how nice you want to keep it i guess, wether you want to weld and paint or just overlap everything and goup and rivet it
