Fitted pencil and flood lamps last week ,sourcing power from battery.......all good .

Have a uhf unit to fit and have heard ,there is access to power under drivers seat. somewhere amoungst the ecu/fusebox.

Can someone shine some light specifically on where i may pick up power /spare terminal......from this area.

Cheers...

Can't help you there.

I connected the active on mine to the battery with the earth on a stud in the battery box.

There well maybe but what ever you do don't splice in to any of the ECU lines under there.
Like one_iota I also wired UHF directly to battery. This way it is independent of everything else.
There's a chassis earth point directly under the battery box by the way.

I've only looked there once.....scratched my head and put the lid back on hoping that I'd never have to go there again.

Would be better to take the power directly from the +ve terminal of the battery. Less subject to picking up noise i.e interference from the computer.

i,m not a complete idiot ,,but i am working on it!!;)-re;ecu

would you consider piggy backing the uhf power on top of the d/light power on the batt terminal OK???

Yep - from the battery is best for UHFs.
I've fitted one of these in the battery box to give me an organized point for accesories:

You're lucky I had a look at that link and I don't think I can fit one in the battery box :( ... with all the other wires and the second battery.

G'day Everyone,

Just got mine back from the Auto Electrician. Had 2 fuse panels fixed under the drivers seat. 1 is to place accessories on via ignition and the other has my rear Light, Fridge plugs etc. Also had a set up for the Anderson Plug thats on the rear and brake control unit. Only have one or two items housed direct to Battery. A few days with the Auto Electrician and all electrics now set up.
For those with a Puma, had my brake control unit placed on the left side of the steering coloum, there is a little shelf their. Had to cut a little bit of plastic off the colounm away and the Prodigy fits like it was made for their.
