Does anybody know if it is possible to drive the old rail alignment between Samford and Dayboro?

Probably not, most of the old rail trails are non motorised use only. ie, its walking trail.

A fair bit of it is actually the road you drive on.
The parts that aren't are restricted to walking/riding tracks, and some of it private property.
The Yugar tunnel is a bat colony and pretty overgrown, beneath the road on the corner of Mcdowalls Rd and Mt Samson Rd

I'll keep that in mind Jerry, what's up Laceys Ck these days? Last time I did Koble Ck to Myala you needed two vehicles, the Kobble end goes through private property but it is a gazetted road to BFP.
