Looking for a supplier/wrecker to supply auto trans

Hi there,

I am looking for a used or reconditioned Td4 automatic transmission, Jatco JF506E, for my 2001 Freelander. Does anyone know a wrecker or a mate who is disassembling one?

The trans shop diagnosed a cracked clutch drum for the trans which struggled to shift from 2 to 3. They quoted $5k for a reconditioned unit which far too expensive to justify.

You could try A&B Transmissions in Melbourne. They overhaul these boxes so might be able to supply what you need.

Try Carsales, you can probably get a whole car for $5k.

Other than that, Triumph rover spares have lots of FL1's;)

All these either are wreckers OR reparers that sell secondhand Rover Parts.I would be surprised if you cant get help from one of them.
