A record-setting fine of nearly $290,000 for driving 85 mph in a 50 mph zone :eek:

I remember year ago a very well know personality in OZ who got caught braking the speed in his Dailmer on the road from Sydney to ACT.
The fine was nothing to him, with money the law was a joke :(

Thats why we should stick to points and take money out of the equation.
Its not fair and the "income" is too easily rigged anyway.. oh no I earn nothing thats company income.... etc.

The fine was nothing to him, with money the law was a joke :(Are you sure you aren't talking about 231KPH in a Bentley, the sentence was 6 months in prison. I would think that WAS something to him!
