View Full Version : Personalised AULRO Jumpers post your interest

Ok as a lot of you know I'm trying to organise a batch of personal jumpers..
This is not a profit driven exercise only that many of us like to be able to identify with the site and the brand that we all love for one reason or another and i think jumpers is a thing that appeals to many.
So currently I think the jumpers will work out around $60 +GST but that is based on 50 jumpers and not including postage...so the more people that commit the cheaper it will be for us all:). This is due to sharing the set up costs of printing and embroidery
The lead time or so I'm told is 4-6 weeks from placing an order.
The design below is a knock up to give you an idea of what we are aiming for with your forum name on the back (you don't have to have this if you don't want) hopefully the year number on the arm, and an embroidered logo on the front. I think the rest of the design will be screen printed.
they will come in all manor of sizes and the colour will be Navy blue.
if you are truly interested in getting your own personalised jumper Please post your interest in here.
Sizes are as follows:
Adult:- 4XS to 5XL
Kids:- 4 to 16 Please note that the cost of children's jumpers will be the same as the adults jumpers.
Please note this thread is not for saying what you do and don't like about the jumper (you can do that in the other thread) only for gauging genuine interest so we can work out how much its going to cost an individual and whether it is worth persuing.

First post updated with available sizes.....
I'm having some samples sent to me simply because I have been offered a very good deal on sublimated jerseys due to the sheer amount of interest.. the only difference is to sublimate means that they wont be able to use the cotton jeresy..but a polyester mix.
This means the design will come out like a true water mark on the jersey rather then a screen print which in time will obviously degrade..so watch this space and I will keep you informed.
For those that asked about kids jumpers this is possible but unfortunately they are still the same cost as an adults jumper:( I did ask but that is the answer I got.

Hi Dullbird, are these through Canterbury? let me know if you need a hand organising them, im happy to help where I can.
Are the sublimate ones cheaper than the normal cotton ones? We just always got the cotton ones for school.
Eitherway if they are canterbury they will last a long time, i still have my one from year 12, its 12yrs old and still going strong.

OK I MAY HAVE MADE A VERY BIG MISTAKE HERE!!!! Please forgive me if I have:(
I went back through all my emails and I think I have possibly stuffed up..
The jumpers from this company may potentially not be canterbury:( I was in communication with 4 companies 3 of which we were talking about canterbury jumpers...however I have been back through my emails to realise that I never actually confirmed this with this poticular company:(
I have emailed them to find out....however it maybe a canterbury STYLE jumper...I'm not sure:(
If its not canterbury then I guess I will either have to change supplier or risk people pulling out because they are not getting what they thought:(
I'm soooo sorry!!! if this is the case, I cant believe I let it get this far with out confirming. good job no money has passed hands yet.
I will keep you posted.

Thanks for letting us know. It's easy to miss details when doing this sort of thing I would imagine. What I want to say is, you are doing it for no personal gain out of the goodness of your heart as a service to us as a loose group of like minded individuals. I'm sure that whatever is done is in good faith and with all intention of getting the best possible value for money for us/
Thanks for all of your efforts so far.

As far as i know the Canterbury sublimate jersey's are available in either long or short sleeve and so people know what they are like they would be like the NRL jersey's the players wear.

Ok so this is the return email from the company.....its not an actual CCC Jumper..however if people are happy with a canterbury style jumper then I will stick with this company..
Morning Louise.
Louise we can make any style of rugby top we have a full range of fabrics, if there is a specific type of fabric you have in mind are you able to send me a sample of the top and we will do a match for you.
With the sublimation process the fabric has to be 100% poly, can’t sublimate 100% cotton, but you would know that already can screen print cotton.
Louise have a look thru out website we make a wide range of custom made apparel for needs and requirements.

have they given any indication on the cost Lou?
Yes Matt I already know what its going to cost..however here is my dilema, depending on how many people commit to buy depends on the final cost.
Heres the tricky bit some people wont commit until they have a final cost..
So what I think I have to do is work out the cost of say 50/60 pieces and perhaps do it that way and what ever money is left over can perhaps be a donation to the site as it would be very hard to give everyone back a couple of dollars (which I think is what its likely to be in difference)
I'm thinking of setting it up through daves shop so people have a multitude of ways to pay and that way we also have a clear ercord of who has paid etc along with other details such as sizes....it seemed to work well for the stickers that evryone bought.
I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible, but at the same time I can't quote everyone on the hope that the 70odd people that say they are going to buy do becuase if they dont then I'm going to find myself out of pocket by a fair bit of money depending on how many don't follow through.
I'm pretty confident the jumpers will come in under 60bux.
I dont want to rip anyone off but at the same time I have to make sure I don't get seen off either..
Not an easy one to work out:(

I'd go with a price that's safe (you know you can cover the order qty). I'm happy for any bulk discount to go to Inc to help with the running costs of the site. Won't quibble over a dollar or two, I get more value than that from being a member.
If they were $100 I'd still want one  :wasntme:

I'll trust your judgement on what you decide re poly versus cotton but I'm glad you are taking a wait and see approach before deciding which way to go.
I know that advantages of some poly at least but I'm a bit of a natural fibre hippy. I know poly garments hold a print and breathe better nowadays though.

ps what about sizes? Are we going to confirm that after $ are in?

4th September 2010, 03:16 PM
yeah no worries Mate probably going to set itup through daves shop anyway that way people have a number of ways to pay and it will be easier to keep track of orders..seemed to work well for the stickers..
Just so everyone knows I have decided to go for the Cotton jeresys so hopefully the screen print works out OK:) I got the samples through and I was duely impressed with the Polly and I think it would look awesome with the sublimate..however the cotton was very good quality!! even though its not canterbury I was even more impressed with this jumper:)
I will try my best to have something up in the shop by next week so you can all start placing your orders..of course no oder can go through until minimum payments are made that covers all costs I will limit the time the jerseys are available only because I don't want to disapoint people who try to order after the main one has gone through..it can't be done. So bare this in mind when paying that it will still be a few weeks before you have anything because of this and because of lead time on orders...So please be patient (I haven't run off with your money:D)
I will be talking to Dave in the next day or two to try and organise the shop/payment methods and a thread will be started to advise everyone that Payment is open and of course a final price will be available.
And thank you all for your patience...I have had quite a lot on recently so I have got a little behind on my schedule of this:)

I am in for 1 large.
If it would help to keep costs down at all, I am quite happy to be a receiving location if people wanted to pick them up from me (for those that it is convinient)
I work in the city, and live in the NE suburbs.

Confirmed. Put me down for 1 x XL with name. I am ok with a variation in cost, as long as it isn't anything crazy like 30%.

just sending all the details to Inc now..its not as cheap as I hoped I could make it but its the postage that has racked it up more:(
I have had to base it on a number an the number is 60..so that means for this order to go ahead there has to be at least 60 people that pay up!! so lets hope everyone follows through:)
Sooooo keep your eyes open in the shop:)

why not something like how many years LR's have been on the road or that its 2010....????

why not something like how many years LR's have been on the road or that its 2010....????
Dullbird means that the price for the jumper is based on a minimum order of 60. The number on the side of the jumper I think was going to be 10 for 2010
dullbird
18th September 2010, 06:50 PM
thats right the number on the arm is supposed to indicate the year, our last jumpers has a number on the back but I figured it looked better on the arm...
and yes that is also correct for the order to go through we need at least 60 people to commit to the order..shouldn't be too hard if everyone coughs up as there is nearly 100 in this thread

18th September 2010, 07:23 PM
When will you (or Dave) be ready for sizes and names for the back, dullbird. Indeed what are the size options? Can we have a mix of upper and lower case lettering? Price?
Cheers

Karl the size options are in the first post:)
no I imagine the lettering will all be the same size and case..price will go up in the next day or two while we work out the format for the shop..
all ordering will be done through the shop inc payment

Looking at the sample that was sent to me which was a M I would say generous...however I don't really want to be held accountable if it doesn't fit so I would say if your not sure buy the next size up

Guys and to everyone that now spots this thread its not late...and you will be able to order a Jeresy through the shop...which should be up very shortly...
In the shop you will place an order with your size and everything before placing payment..
So once it is up in the shop I will place a link all around the forums so hopefully no one will miss that orders are open
You can find the shop up in the brown navigation Bar next to where you click for the markets:)

No worries thanks. I havent heard of them before, used to get heaps of promotional stuff sent to school advertising their school shirts and stuff. Their stuff looks good. Im keen to see the end product, love the watermarked AULRO screen print idea, looks good with a slightly darker shade of blue.

thats the big problem, with a single blue design like that with a white collar you wouldnt think it would be that hard to screen print up a sample.
But hey, i'll give it a crack.
I never had a problem not getting a sample from Canterbury cause i have bought their jumpers before so knew what they are like and it was always the same sort of thing just different colour arrangements each year.
Should be alright though, the mock up looks good.

I have had a sample of the jumper the jumper it's self is Very good quality just as good as the canterbury...
but I couldn't expect a mock up sample of the design as the setup costs are quite significant

fair enough. If you say they are good quality thats good enough for me, cant wait to get mine. I need a new jumper. My old school ones from when i was teaching and my other AULRO one are the only jumpers i have so a new one for the collection will be good.

I'm 5'10" (could've shrunk slightly over the years), weigh about 80kgs so not overweight too much, just average build, was thinking of large, even though in my younger years I was a medium for everything. Any suggestions? Like they're not really small sizes or anything are they? Comments from anyone welcome :)

cool I think they will all be the same case, to be honest I dont know if it will be upper or lower I forgot to ask but I'm assuming it will be upper,
I think the 11 should be on the arm regardless but again I'm not sure as it was another point I never got clarification of taking into account the circumstances you have bought up.
It was part of the original design so I certainly hope so

There is also a maximum amount of letters I'm waiting to hear back, I don't reckon it will effect many people maybe only 1 or 2 from Aces I think it was like 10 but as soon as I find out I will let you know
