Hi, I need to buy a printer that will print A4 and also print printable CD's.
I started to read this thread on printers, http://www.aulro.com/afvb/computers/74541-printer-recommendation.html but need one that will print printable CD's.
I am after one that is not too expensive on the inks if possible. Also if it can also scan would be a bonus. If it can do more than one CD at a time perhaps that would be good. Both USB and Wreless conection would also be good.
Any recomendations please.

Are these Canons economical on ink use, considering I do not own an internet Cafe, and so cannot buy ink wholesale.
Will google this model printer.

i have a ip4700 and recommend it.
Prints good photos, + CD's.
The CD software for priting is average, but does the job, I have used epson r310 as well, and its cd software is better.

do you need to print coloured labels on the CDs or will B+W do... have you tried the Lightscribe CDs which are printed by the DVD/CD laser?

Only works if your burner has light scribe, and the software for light scribe not all do. Plus the Cds are more expensive compared to the printable cds.

I too just bought an IP4700 to print Cds. Slow as you have to feed and print each cd, but results are good. A cheap unit around $120 mark.
And compatible ink I believe can be bought on ebay cheap.
One thing I found it's a lot faster and quieter than my Epson

I use an Epson Stylus Photo R230
You can put remote high capacity ink tanks on it.
Has a tray for the CD's as well.
Ink is cheap too.

I just bought an EPSON TX710W since I can't get ink for my old printer anymore.
Has 6 seperate ink tanks, glass top scanner, retractable cd tray for printing cd's, SD XD CF etc card slots, ability to print double sided, colouring book mode (scans a picture outline for kids to colour in) can print graph and lined paper, USB, LAN, and is also wireless to boot.
Can now print wirelessly from anywhere in the house using my PC, Laptop, PS3 and iPhone.
Picked it up from "Hardly Normal", on special for a shade over $200:cool: NOT CURRENTLY COMPATIBLE WITH WIN 7 .
Epson Australia - Epson Epson Stylus Photo TX710W (http://www.epson.com.au/products/multifunctional/stylusphotoTX710W.asp)
