Defender 110 rear window demister

My rear window demister in my 2004 Defender isnt working. Fuse is ok. On drivers side there is a terminal on the demister which is not connected. Beside this there is an electrical connector from which a wire goes up to the high stop light. Is this also supposed to connect to this demister terminal?

Just checked our 99 Defer.
I dont have the brake light,there are 2 connectors on the glass,1 is an earth to the frame the other is a posative that comes from inside the door frame.
I will be shifting this thread to the 110 section once you have had chance to see the reply.
