Hello all

I'm compiling what I intend to be a list of every Land Rover club and online community in Australia.

Are there any I've missed? Thanks for any updates.

Criteria for inclusion:
- must be focused on Land Rovers (no general 4WD clubs even if they admit Land Rovers)
- no pure Rover car clubs unless they have a Land Rover focus
- don't need to be 4WD clubs, can just be historic association
- must be Australian

Has an Australian and NZ section. It's very quiet in that section because we are mostly here :D

Thanks all. The list is updated and prettified.

Does the Gippsland club exist? That URL doesn't check out and Google hasn't heard of it. I thought it existed at one point.

Still, 16 clubs isn't bad for a population of 22 million.

Should have mentioned...the reason for this list is because I am now writing for Land Rover World and want to include it in one of my columns. I'm also after any interesting LR news the world needs to know about, and could also consider club spotlights. The list could also become a resource here as I suspect people may find it useful. Some of the clubs are quite difficult to find on the web.

Looks good.

Just a quick note, there is one too many "r" in Land Rover Register of SA.

Thanks, I had ROC under ACT as that's what they seem to be.

As far as I am aware "The Newcastle LandRover Club" is a LandRover club in name only. It started out that way but over the years morphed into a Four Wheel drive club and the only vehicles in it now are Jap stuff. You see Nisso's and Toyo's driving around the Newcastle area with "Newcastle LandRover Club" stickers across the top of the Windscreen.
I believe there is a "Newcastle Landrover Owners Club" which caters for Landy owners.:):)

Got a link for it or any info?

The NLRO seems to welcome Landies, still got the name and its website looks Landie-specific. Most other clubs permit other makes, and indeed the LROCV had a Nissan-driving president for some years.

They do not yet have a web presence. Hope that helps.
Cheers!!:D

Definitely exists - CMurray is a member here & of GLROC.

This site

Land Rover FAQ - Clubs - Australia & New Zealand (http://www.lrfaq.org/FAQ.5.clubs.oceania.html)

lists a Bundaberg club - not sure if it does exist or not?

ACT club is: Land Rover Club of the Australian Capital Territory. Like the Newcastle club it is not ony Land Rovers.

Added Gippsland. Edited the ACT club. Leaving Bundaberg off till existence proven.

Google Ads has now seen "bundaberg" and is trying to sell me wine ;-)

Doesn't matter. I'll add it if I get a contact email at least.

Why not ask Inc for a forum here?

Or, if your ISP gives you free web space, I'll even make you a single page website.

Email contact is : rover4wd@gmail.com

We only have about 30 odd members and I think I'm one of the few that use AULRO so might not be much use to anyone ;)

Thanks anyway

The Name is the Newcsatle Rover Owners Four Wheel Drive Club of which I am a member as well. You need to have a registered landie or a restoration project on a landie to join

The Rover Owners Club (ROC) is registered in NSW and that seems to be the base for all their activities. Certainly not an ACT club.
