we couldn't have asked for a better day, beautiful, sunny and hardly any wind.

The ho har's in Zara and Numpty in Leon headed out on the motorway towards Colleges Crossing when we were joined by a nice Stage 1...then promptly was passed by it:o...it seems Sam hasn't got a grasp yet of the nice steady, if not slow, driving us series drivers do:p:D

Pete and Sam were waiting patiently for us at the Crossing, then we were joined by the cheshire cat, ohh sorry Scallops and Kat in matilda:arms:, CC and clan, weeds and Wendy, Outlaw and Masayo, Guyg, solmanic and Cathrine and extreme.

Happy Birthday Harry, for tomorrow :) - we enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate this momentous event with you today. How appropriate that we were able to make our Maiden voyage in Matilda, our beautiful Series 1, which you put so much work into, helping me get her to where she is today, on this special occasion :)

We had a lovely afternoon - and it was good to see some dear friends that we don't see enough of. Here are some of my piccies....

The Birthday Boy arrived in Style.....

Great day out in good company.

Leon was beside himself, having finally met and sat next to Matilda. And doesn't he look a real boy alongside her cleanliness. But he's a '57 Dan

Love the Stage 1 Trayback Sam.

Perry.

Lovely day and happy birthday for tomorrow Harry. We needed a good outing like that.

Also I notice the newer Defenders were conveniently banished to the back of the car park out of sight ;).

The Coleman Clan enjoyed our day out immensly. We also have one very tired puppy.

It was good to see some faces we haven't seen in a while and it was a big relief to every landyphile in Australia that Matilda has made her maiden voyage and passed with flying colours.:p I even got a ride:cool:

All the best for tomorrow Harry. We also better have another run soon.

Happy birthday Harry, hope you had a good day.

I towed the series trailer to Byron and back so was in the series spirit for the day. Anyone see me wave and flash both ways on the Ipswich motor way :D

Great day out, nice to see everyone again and meet more Land Rover addicts. It certainly inspires me to do more than just keep the battery charged in my series 2a. Sam your v-8 stage 1 sounded absoulutley excellent driving up the hill when you left. I hope that you don't waste it by idling behind the series Land Rovers.

Sorry Ho Hars, that we didn't make it,:( it was about 5:00pm by time I got home. Glad you all had a great day. I think I saw Extreme on the way home.

Cheers, Mick.
