Supply of LED Lights?

Hi there,

I am looking for a pair of stop/tail LED lights and another pair of parker LED lights to put onto my series 2a.

I live in the Wollondilly area.

Would anyone know of were i can get them? Im happy to travel to campbelltown / bowral.

Ebay will have heaps, and postage would be a lot cheaper than you travelling any distance.
Or Google "Bright Light Auto Parts" who I have dealt with or "Automotive Replacement LED bulbs" This is a bloke in Normanton of all places who i have dealt with.

Hella have brought some magnificent round LED in Orange and Red stop/tail and also half orange and half red stop/tail) that would be virtually perfect fit in place of the normal Series and Defender lights. If you put them on a new Defender people would think they were new factory improvement.

While not looking 100% the same, you could fit them and later still be able to refit the original to apease the purists.

No, im now thinking of just putting led globes in. Main reason is because i like the look of the lenses. I have just recently got a visa card so i can buy online. Ill have to get them after i have fixed my halfshafts:)

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but if you change to led bulbs you often find your flasher for the indicators won't work. I think it has something to do with the different resistance of the led bulbs compared to the normal ones. A change to an electronic rather than mechanical flasher should solve this problem.

I plan to upgrade mine some time soon to give me a bit better visiblity to others on the road, but like you, I want to keep the classic look and just change the bulbs. Only reason I haven't is that I have 2 boxes full of each kind of bulb sitting in my shed, enough to last a lifetime.

I'd say beware of some of the cheap and nasties on ebay, mostly offering little or no warranty.

Is the LED flasher the correct one for a deefer?

Whilst in one of local auto shops last weekend I noticed some LED tail/brake/flasher combo's on special for just under $50 each. I have been considering getting some for my trailers, but decided on waiting a while longer until they hopefully become cheaper. Two days later at our local Agricultural Field Day the same ones were $18 each, so I grabbed some.
The overall dimensions are approx 80 x 80mm, but there were other sizes available. When I got home I tried them on a battery and they illuminate extremely well.
They were purchased from one of those Travelling Tool vendors that do the field day circuits, they are called GBS Tools and Hardware Supplies.
