View Full Version : Photo Competition #35 ends 29th of August – Traffic

The topic is………..

Traffic

It could either be a busy intersection in a city or a couple of lorries on a country road or anything in between. It ought to be more than one vehicle. The key is to get creative/artistic and think out of the box. For example one could play with long shutter speeds, shoot from odd angles etc. Your imagination sets the boundaries.

Rules:

No more than two pictures. Only one can be taken before 2010-08-17
Post processing is allowed.
Have fun

Yep. 16mm fisheye on a Sony A900. I shot it in aperture mode with the lens stopped right down to give slowish shutter speeds.

The camera was fixed to the car by drilling a 1/4" hole through the roof rack top rail and then screwing on a ball head mount from my monopod (if you look closely, you can see the shadow of it.). I also used a remote shutter release but the lead wasn't quite long enough so I gaffer-taped it to just above the driver's door. The camera was in continuous fire mode but I'd turn it off and on for traffic lights, etc. I still ended up with about 2.5GBs of pictures.

The things you do on a slow Sunday arvo. :)

Sometimes 1 or 2 vehicles can be traffic.

And the winner is....

A very blurred WhiteD3. I must say it has a bit of tilt and shift about it.
