Hi all, ran into a bloke today with a D4 SE 3.0Lt. He claims that the 3.0Lt only has a 70Lt tank due to the second turbo.
He has travelled 50,000 Klm's in his since February and claims that this is true?
Has anyone else heard of this???

The capacity is 82l

I have put more than 70l in my car.

Would have to be a REALLY BIG TURBO :burnrubber:to effect the size of the fuel tank !!!

The specs note 82 lts as mowog suggests.

While the specs say 82lit I would be interested to know how much is actually usable? What is the most that anyone has put into a standard tank? What are your thoughts on an aux tank?

Am I hijacking this thread? Should I move my questions?

It just behaves like a 70L tank after driving manual TD5 D2s for over 10 years.

Check the FAQ's plenty of options, but you will need a SWC ( single wheel carrier ) to make space for the tank.

Some have queezed a lot more in. The guy didn't know what he was talking about.


Or he has a problem with the plumbing from his tank.

D4 with 2.7TD => most I have put in was 74 litres. That was after driving for 48kms after the puter said 'RANGE 0KMS'

Fantastic fuel consumption: 0.14L / 100KM :)
