I don't know if it is the norm but my disco has very poor head lights.I have upgraded the globes to 90/130 but no real improvment.Could someone shed some light on the problem.[no pun intended]:eek:

Check the voltage to the bulbs.

Lucas is a Dark B@stard and you might have to use a set of relays and get power straight off the battery positive.

If you havent used a relay for the bigger bulbs then expect to replace the light switch on the steering column as they tend to burn out with the extra current needed. also check all the earth contacts. Ive replaced the standard 60/55w bulbs on mine with 90/100w bulbs [through a relay] and couldnt be happier with them. Do a check in the projects section [I think] for the correct wiring diagrams. Bob

Voltage is the key to brighter lights....I installed a wiring upgrade to my Disco and then the Defender with appreciable gain in light output.

The Traxide gear is excellent.
Ive got his battery controllers and head/spotlight upgrades on my D2and a further low voltage cut out for the Engel.
Have had the battery controller on 2 other vehicles.
I intend doing the same to the Defender over time.
Its so easy to DIY,you cant stuff it up with the instructions supplied.

I did same on 2nd battery and for fridge outlet in the rear.
Traxide is not cheap but it works when you want it.
