Just wanted to know what recaro seats will fit into my puma? I was just quoted $4,500 per seat (for svx seats) from Solitare in Adealaide. Obviously the bases need to be removable to get at the battery and fuses.

Cheers

Have a look on the UK supply sites there are a number of options available. None are cheap though.

I had Recaros on the list of things to do when I bought mine but I've found the original seats so comfortable that I have banished them from the list.

Seating is a personal preference though.

AFAIK all Recaro runners are interchangeable ( and I think the side to side spacing the same) and the difference is in the adaptors to the application.

So maybe the best approach would be to buy OEM adaptors from an Extreme from the UK, then buy the seats and runners second hand.

Give Recaro in Melbourne a call. I found them very helpful when I fitted second hand Recaros to my RRC.
I was able to get the necessary genuine Recaro seat belt mount points that had been ADR approved that bolted on to the Recaro runners in pre drilled holes.

Hi, I fitted Scheelmann seats from Landrover Tuning - 'landrovertuning.com.au" - they are the Touring II with rear seat pockets and 2 way lumbar support. They come with tilt runners to get at the underseat boxes and which are longer than standard meaning if you are tall the seat goes back a lot further. They are upholstered in TD4 material too. I think they were around$2,250 each and they are exceptionally comfortable - I have a crook back and can do long hours and not end up sore. Have attached a photo. cheers.

They look very nice Marty! I take it they were $2250 each including installation? On the site they are listed as $1585 plus options..

If I end up going ahead with a Defender, I will seriously consider replacing the front seats, doing so on my Troopy was IMO easily the best mod I did..

Cheers and have a good one

My seats had options - the lumbar and rear pockets and the slides are extra as well, but damn good seats and the extra support, especially under the legs is great on a long drive - and as we know Oz has lots of long drives between the off road bits

Hi,
I think my Puma seats are as comfortable as a mate's Stratos seats in his TDi.
Just wish I had more leg room in the single cab ute D130.
cheers
