G'day all, an embarrassing moment at the servo today. Every 2-3 weeks or so I normally do a 100% re-fuel. However today as I am paying a bloke tells me that Sally Anne is leaking fuel. So I get the spill kit off the attendant and start looking. I go to my fuel pump as I have an access cover in the tray but its all dry and check around the filter because about 12mth ago I replaced the pump and filter, but all dry. The leak must be coming from behind the bash plate. I haven't been off road for about a year now.

My questions are,
any one else had their tank just start to leak?
where from?
cost for replacement?
how do I go about removing the bash pate to conduct an inspection?

Sally Anne is a 2003 130 HCPU.

Cheers Easo

Easo,
I had a similar experience with my 09 Defender when refuelling and it turned out to be a faulty breather which was replaced under warranty.

Check the hoses, especially the filler. If it was leaking after you refilled and before you had started I'm thinking it might be from the filler/breather side if it's not a crack high up on the tank.
