Closed Length of stock Discovery 1 shocks

Hey

I have needed/planed to move my shock mounts, after fitting new shocks with springs, but it haste of clean up my stock shock have been chucked.

A search revealed an approx rear shock length at 570/370mm, can anyone speak to the accuracy of this approximation, and a closed length of a standard front shock.(the searched page is below)

Front RRC Boge is 330MM from the inner top cup to inner bottom cup . You would also have to add your estimate of the compressed bush length.

My old measurements agree with Philip's.

Defender Woodhead dampers.

Front (base of pin to base of pin)
Closed 328mm
open 550mm

rear (base of pin to centre of eye)
Closed 350mm
Open 550mm

Thanks you 2, looks like it will work out alright. need to move rears up 55 mm and fronts up a measly 12mm, might call front 25 and get longer shocks next time.
