Well, I take it that a price of a top line Nikon or Canon wouldnt be an issue :o
Im sooooo jealous! Good on them, if you got the money enjoy it!
Anyone have an explanation as to the incredicble details of his photos? Was thinking HDR, but cant be due to water etc.

Filters and photoshop.. just cause they don't have stupid colours in them doesn't mean its not a HDR. (no offense ment to HDR goers.. I do it for a bunch of my shots too.)
Checkout Ansel Adams stuff.. he managed to get a rediculous amount of detail.. using 1 exposure.
Back on topic.. Id take a copper over a Landrover..:wasntme:

I saw that tonight, I am guessing he is not strapped for cash! Nice photos and nice scenery though.

It can be HDR if he loads up one (or more) of the raw images as another layer and burns through to show the water. In the shot I put in the HDR thread this is exactly what I did as the rocks looked better in the light painted exposure than they did with the HDR. Only the top half of my image is HDR.

I like the fact that a bloke flying about in a dirty big helicopter has the cheek to spout off about climate change.
Nice images though and good on him. Pet hate though.

Like Dick Smith?
Heli's do consume a lot of fuel but are very convenient and do attract attention and can help bring the message across by attracting that attention.

Guess so. I guess I'm just getting sick of the whole message!

I'm sure for $4m + change it's a very fuel efficient chopper. Just a thought, but which would use less fuel on a long range trip; the chopper or a 4WD?
