Central locking issue.

I had to replace the drivers door central locking actuator which works fine with the key in the door (doors all unlock/lock and alarm sets ) but now I can't get the remote to lock or unlock the car. Is there a reset that needs to be done ?

Dead battery in the remote? Or has the buttons inside the remote come loose and need re soldering on?

No everything in the remote looks fine.
