Another option on the Poll shold be: "Make them keep it and maintain it as it is."
That should teach 'em a lesson they'll never forget!:)

is there anyway you can notify all the traffic authorities across the state? that way if they go to register interstate it can be picked up on

Very poor Christmas present! :BigCry:
We know that you'll have made a Police report of the issue. AFAIK, they now cross State borders to all registry and Police authorities. It may be worthwhile checking with the NSW Police Customer Assistance line, to see if they have the report from ACT Police.
Unfortunately it is likely to have been a "stolen to order" for someone who needs/wants some part off it or for re-birthing.
The Safety Cameras at Gundagai etc could identify the vehicle, however a Defender won't meet the size limits to record the data. :mad: All we can hope is that it passes a NSW Highway Patrol car.
Keep your eyes open everyone.

I feel your pain:mad::mad::mad:
Or it may have gone to a property where it will never be registered or insured again.Tojo traybacks are often targets for this though.

Now a long shot but if you were in the market for nicking a 130 from Canberra you wouldn't bring it to Perth would ya? I mean a bit of a trek!
Just that I saw one october-ish on the back of a low loader being pulled across beach road Malaga Western Australia.
A long shot but if it was mine any info would be a bonus god forbid I get that crap happen to me!
Good luck mate
P.S. I don't agree with turn em into the police on the poll: I dont think they would make effective coppers lol

If I get to Malaga in my reconditioned Disco or another off roader I'll keep my eyes peeled. Cheers. Like that quip about the coppers too. Thanks, and merry xmas to you. ps - these disco TD5s look to have more on them than in them - hope they've the guts to prove me wrong.

No insurance for theft since AAMI only offered about $7k cover - thought that might dull the pain but not enough to make the premium hike worth the while.
I expect its off to the pacific islands in some container by now - ran like clockwork too. little bugger. still kicking myself for not immobilising it.
