Anyone know what it is/what it's out of ? (other than a 110 :p )

Someone has a dual diaphragm booster (JRA used a PBR one out of that era's Ford F250) that's looking for a partner to see what changes in pedal feel/stopping power can be achieved with the better booster.

Rick, That's a PBR P10316 master cylinder. They were fitted to Perentie's for Australian content makeup. Also were fitted to Falcons/Commodores of similar vintage. This is a 1" model, some of the others were 15/16". Quite a bit cheaper than Girling etc and work good with either disc or drum rear.

Thanks Brian, I guessed it might be a PBR one as I knew the booster is a PBR.

My mate that was an engineer on the Perentie told me way back when that the booster was the same as I fitted to my then F100 but I couldn't remember what the M/C was.

The booster would have to come apart and be clocked to mount the Lucas M/C so I thought I might try and find the Oz one.

The old girl's taking a bit more oomph to pull up these days than eight years ago, but it could be a vacuum pump, booster or even an M/C issue as they are all original.

VH524 is the booster number if you are trying to source one, Rick. They are a 3 stud one to accept the PBR M/C. I bought one of the M/C's off ebay the other week for a spare, as mine has the Army brake setup.

I'd be keen to hear how it works out.

Does the PBR booster mount straight up to the pedal box?

Bugger, I have a Ford F250 (Australian PBR) booster and thought it was a bolt up. It only has a two stud cover on the booster.

Rick, Sorry I may have given you a bum steer there. The front of the booster has 2 studs where it bolts to the M/C and the REAR has 3 studs where it bolts onto the pedal box.:o

I'll have a look on the w/end Mark, hopefully it's a straight bolt up.

The twin diaphragm booster made a big difference to pedal pressure on my old F100 years ago and it was a straight bolt up from the single diaphragm booster.
