Cooling System 109 Stage 1 V8

Hi

I have a question regarding the 2 overflow hose at the top drivers side of the radiator...

The small rubber hose at the top goes to the Black Tank with radiator cap.




The Small rubber hose below goes?????

Does it go anywhere, or is it a overflow??

On mine it has been tucked down next to steering, and seems to be melted near end at some stage...

Just checking its not supposed to go anywhere, as Im taking it a fair distance on 1st real drive tomorrow.

Some RR engines use the second fitting to allow a bleed from the manifold (behind the thermostat) directly to the rad. It is an easy mod and makes filling the cooling system easier. Just tap a 5/16 inch hose nipple somewhere into the back of the thermo housing. In the short term just cut the hose and plug it with a bolt.
