Hello people:)

I really need a Puma owner in Sydney that would be prepared to allow me to drive their Puma a very short distance...but I have to be able to reach the speed of 110..so therefore I need someone who would allow me to drive their car on the freeway.

If there is anyone out there willing to help me please send me a PM..

I really need to do this sooner rather then later

Thanks:)

I'm 10 minutes drive from the M5 and maybe 20 minutes from the 110 zone.

What are you seeking? :)

Hi dullbird I spent a fair few hours driving my dads 2010 110 in triple digits last week, but don't have it now. Maybe I can help?

what new noise you trying to sort out now?

if its an odd thrumming sqeaking noise (like metal on metal rubbing) with an occasional click or crack when you twist up the rear axle

check the roof mounting point on the pillars and at the back 2 corners.

If it's a moaning, whining, sighing in frustration kind of sound, I doubt changing vehicles will isolate it.

Might need a change of driver or permanent change of vehicle for that.

Come up this way Lou and you can try mine at 130kph, legally ;)

Mind you 130kph in a Defender isn't really fun. It will do it easily but it just doesn't seem right in a Defender.

If you're going to do that you'd better inform LR Assist so they can prepare! :D

All very intriguing.

Hope you will eventually tell us what this is all about...

weird idea...thought about going for a test drive of a new one at your favourite dealership? James Ruse Drive has a 90 zone not far away, though I would never suggest exceeding the speed limit...

for me to only drive a short distance and to truely tell, I really need a 110kph zone...I can get away with 100 but 110 would be better to know for sure...

and for those asking/thinking what noise now...its not something new its something I'm still trying to get resolved.

So if it's not the rear diff it must be the prop shaft?

Come on guys... if dullbird keeps answering, eventually we will get it :D
